This performance was a benefit for 21Grand, a vital, not for profit, volunteer-run interdisciplinary arts space then (and now) amassing the resources necessary to move to a new home after their scheduled displacement in the wake of Oakland's Uptown Project, which includes, ironically, plans for an entertainment district.
